In a superb demonstration of solidarity and increasing cooperation, the Israel in Ethiopia paid a visit to STEMpower's Fablab to view for themselves the innovation projects that are spearheading change and building youth potential across Ethiopia. The tour was organized by the dedicated staff at STEMpower, who extended an invitation to Ambassador Dr. Avraham Nigussie, Israel's Ambassador to the African Union and to Ethiopia, and Deputy Ambassador Tomer Bar-Lavi.

During their facility tour, embassy officials were greatly impressed with the creativity, determination, and impact of STEMpower's programs. They witnessed how young minds are being enabled by information and resources, leading to meaningful innovations and solutions. The ideas presented were not only well received but warmly embraced.

In appreciation of the importance of this project, the Embassy of Israel further committed itself with a gift of six laptops, two desktop computers, and a printer; a total of nine precious items, that will assist in upgrading STEMpower's functionality. The donation was made directly to STEMpower's Country Director, Dr. Simenew Keskes, an investment in the future of Ethiopian innovation.

During the occasion, Ambassador Dr. Avraham Nigussie stated, "Israel is a startup nation, and a leader in such work. Good minds create a nation, but those good minds must be fostered through access and opportunity. STEMpower is doing an exemplary job, and we are wholeheartedly committed to backing them."

This generous contribution is not only a gift but also a strong statement of mutual values and shared vision. STEMpower and the Embassy of Israel share a mutual belief in the potential of available technology, education, and innovation to enhance communities.

As Dr. Simenew reminded us at the meeting, this collaboration is more than a single visit or a single donation; it is the start of a relationship that will continue to be aimed at empowering Ethiopia's future scientists, engineers, and change-agents.

Indeed, this is just the beginning!
