STEMpower is proud to announce the successful installation and inauguration of its 165th STEM Center at the Theoretical High School āČtefan cel Mareā in Drochia, Moldova, marking a historic milestone as the organization expands its international network beyond Africa for the first time.
Featuring two fully equipped Computer and Electronics STEM laboratories, the new center will provide more than 500 students with opportunities to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through practical, hands-on learning.

Moldova, a country in Eastern Europe bordering Romania and Ukraine, has made progress in digital education but continues to face shortages of advanced digital skills and technology professionals. The new laboratories will help address this gap by giving students practical opportunities to explore robotics, electronics, and engineering.

Alexis Mutebutsi, one of STEMpower's Engineers who traveled from Rwanda to support the installation, reflected on the experience and the studentsā response.
āThe joy we saw in the studentsā faces and their excitement about exploring the new laboratories made this mission truly special. Knowing that these facilities will give more than 500 students the opportunity to learn by doing makes this achievement even more meaningful.ā

This milestone would not have been possible without the continued partnership of DHL and smartAID, whose support in shipping the laboratory equipment directly to Moldova helped make the installation a reality. We also extend our appreciation to CICD PHOENIX and all local partners whose collaboration brought this initiative to life.

From Africa to Europe and beyond, STEMpower remains committed to expanding access to practical STEM education, empowering students, and creating opportunities for children and communities to learn, innovate, and shape their futures.
