At King Hintsa TVET College – Msobomvu Campus STEM Center, IT and Engineering students participated in hands-on training in Introduction to Gaming & Animation and Computer-Aided Draughting (CAD).

IT students explored Animation & Game Development using SCRATCH software, gaining a foundation in digital creativity and interactive media, skills that go beyond coding to shape the future of tech innovation. Meanwhile, engineering students were introduced to Inventor 2024 for CAD and 3D printing, essential tools for precision design and modern engineering solutions.

In addition to students, a group of SMMEs (Small, Medium, and Micro Enterprises) were invited to take part in the training, particularly internet café owners from Mbashe and Mnquma local municipalities. This initiative, aims to empower business owners with digital skills that can enhance their services and expand their opportunities.

Ezile Konile, a Civil Engineering student, shares: "I learned to draw and design using a computer, and that will be very helpful for me because design and drawing are part of my dreams and career."

Upon completion of the training, students receive certification, validating their newly acquired skills and enhancing their career prospects in the ever-evolving tech and engineering industries.

With STEMpower, students and entrepreneurs are turning aspirations into reality, building the skills to shape tomorrow’s industries.
