Vision:

Provide hands-on, lab-based STEM education, emphasizing real-world problem-solving, creativity, and skill-building. We empower our youth to engineer solutions that propel our nation out of persistent poverty.

Mission:

Educate the next generation of engineering talent that will complete South Sudan's production value chain, boosting exports and reducing dependency.

Core Centre Programs

STEM Centers: The organization establishes and operates physical hubs providing hands-on education and innovation for high school and university students. STEMpower South Sudan has established 19 STEM centers across the country. Each center features a minimum of 5 distinct labs: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer, and Engineering/Robotics, all equipped with modern laboratory gear. Solar-Powered STEM Centers: To counter the persistent electricity challenges in South Sudan, STEMpower equips its learning centers with dedicated solar power systems to ensure reliable, uninterrupted operations.

Outreach & Training Programs

National Teachers Training: An initiative dedicated to empowering educators. Through targeted workshops and hands-on training, teachers are equipped with modern pedagogical approaches, curriculum development skills, and ICT integration strategies.

Digital Skills Training: This program equips youth and underserved communities with essential digital literacy, covering basic computer use, internet navigation, and productivity tools to help them succeed in a digital world.

Mayardit Space Science program: In collaboration with the HARREL Space Science Foundation and supported by the Israeli Embassy, the program focused on training educators to return to their respective institutions and share this knowledge with their students.

Entrepreneurship training program: Supported by the Israeli Embassy and in collaboration with Colosseum, this initiative equips small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs with the tools needed to launch and sustain successful ventures.

Student Clubs & Interactive Initiative

Science Fair: An annual event that provides a dynamic platform for students to explore, experiment, and showcase their scientific creativity, fostering critical thinking and a culture of inquiry.

Robotics Club: An interactive initiative introducing students to robotics, programming, and engineering. It prepares youth for technology-driven environments and encourages participation in local and international competitions.

Community & Applied Innovation Projects

Tree Planting Project: An environmental initiative focused on promoting sustainability and raising climate change awareness. It specifically targets mitigating the impact of flooding, poor drainage, and erosion around access roads to ensure safer, easier access to the learning centers.

Laser Bird deterrent Project: A practical, student-led innovation that utilizes simple laser technology to protect local farmlands by detecting and deterring birds. This project teaches students to apply their technical skills to solve real-world agricultural and community challenges.

Saponification: STEMpower South Sudan is dedicated to enhancing skill development and empowering local communities. Through its various centers across South Sudan, the organization provides practical training in soap making, enabling participants to launch their own small businesses.
